A Twist Of Fate At The Bayside View Inn - A Heartwarming Feelgood Small Town Holiday Romance = Free On Request!!

About

The course of true love rarely runs smoothly, and Lily Atwood is about to find out just how bumpy the road can be.

Grab a cup of tea and get comfortable, because you’re about to be whisked away to the stunning Isle of Canbrae, where Lily has just inherited the beautiful Bayside View Inn. Things are not as they seem on this idyllic island, though, and Lily will need all the help she can get to renovate the inn and sell it before Brightwell Futures, a property development company, swoops in.

Luckily, Grace, her estranged grandmother's solicitor, recommends Callum Drysdale, the charming and handsome carpenter. Their first meeting is less than ideal, however, when Callum makes a bad first impression on her. And to make matters worse, Callum's aunt has asked him to ‘entertain’ Lily, giving her time to find a buyer before Brightwell makes their move.

As Lily works on the inn and prepares for the island's biggest event, Summerfest, she can't help but imagine a future on Canbrae with Callum by her side. But when she reads her grandmother's diaries, she discovers her parents’ tragic love story that makes her question her own chances at happiness. And with obstacles like Auntie Sheila and Callum's jealous friend, Blair, in the way, will Lily's love story have a happy ending?

A Twist Of Fate At The Bayside View Inn is the first book in a new inclusive small town holiday romance series from Katie Simpkins, the author of The Southern Belles and Marble's Marvels. It's perfect for dog lovers and fans of Jenny Hale’s 'The Beach House' and Samantha Parks’ 'The Summer House In Santorini' who will adore this heartwarming tale of love, family, and finding happiness in unexpected places.

Praise for this book

Oh my, where does one start?
I have adored all of Katie's books, the author has a wonderful way of reaching out to the readers through the characters they have written.

We first meet Lily on the day of her birthday, which doesn't go according to plan as her boyfriend Dean decides to end their relationship in a crowed restaurant!
But once home and with her beloved dog Sophie by her side she realises she wasn't that upset at all with the breakup.
When a call comes out of the blue from Grace a solicitor on the Isle of Canbrae in Scotland to inform her that her grandmother Daisy had passes away and that she has left everything to her in her will including the Bayside Inn!

Completely shocked as her mother Rose who only passed away the year before never spoke of her grandparents or where she grew up.
Determined to find out about her mother and grandparents Lily decides to go to Canbrae with all intentions of selling the place.

But fate has other ideas in store for both Lily and Sophie especially with the unique way she meets Callum and his dog Max.

This is a story of love and some heartache along the way.
Be prepared to sit in your favourite chair, grab yourself a drink and get comfortable because once you start reading you won't want to stop until you have devoured every word!

When Lily Atwood finds out she’s inherited the Bayside View Inn it couldn’t have come at a better time. Dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday, she packs up her things and with her beloved dog Sophie journeys to the island of Canbrae. But not everything is how it seems, the Inn has been closed down for a couple of years and there are rumours that her grandmother was going to sell it. I was hooked from the first page, from the dastardly way Lily’s boyfriend behaves to when she first sets foot on the island. Lily is a fabulous character and very relatable in the way she wants to discover the secrets of her past, and the mystery of why her mother never spoke about her grandparents. I also loved the way Lily first meets Callum which had me wincing and kind of laughing at the same time. There’s plenty of scheming and misunderstandings but there’s also the great sense of a close knit society, and of course plenty of laughs throughout the pages. The descriptions of the island and its people are wonderful and made me feel like I would love to visit this magical place.
Katie has written a fabulous book and I can’t wait to read the next in the series. So get yourself comfortable on your favourite sofa or chair, grab your favourite drink and settle down to be welcomed to the Bay View Inn.

A perfect read whilst on holiday, takes you away to a good fantasy place with a romantic twist. Great characters, love how badass Lily is.

I have to admit, i don't usually read romance novels, my preferred genre being horror. I'm a big fan of the author's work and was delighted to be asked to give this one a try..
Honestly, from the first few chapters I was hooked. Loved the main character Lily. The story was beautifully written and a joy to read. Such a light hearted, easy reading feelgood kind of book. The perfect summer romance.
Absolutely loved it!

I absolutely loved reading this book, not my normal kind of read, but a nice feel good story, and sometimes the odd bit of humour, it was a good storyline, lots happening.
Lily inherits an old hotel owned by the grandmother she never knew, so along with her best friend, Sophie (her dog) she heads off to do the hotel up and sell it, but like all things it doesn’t go to plan, but and read to see what happens, you’ll enjoy it 😊

A light hearted feel good, easy read, I must admit I was hooked at the first chapter, eager to find out what would happen next. I was drawn in to the storyline rooting for Lily. Our leading lady dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday of all days. Lily takes an unusual call to say she has inherited her grandmas inn, on the island of Canbrae. Lily and her beloved dog Sophie head off on an adventure.

This book is definitely a five star book in my honest opinion. From the first page i was hooked right up until the last page. I Absolutely loved this book and would definitely recommend to other avid readers like me 😊📙

I was given a copy of this book through Voracious Readers Only and I loved every page of it. I want to go to Canbrae and stay at the Bayside Inn with Lily and Sophie. Lily’s life turns upside down on her birthday when her boyfriend announces that they should take a break from each other. This is Lily’s story on what happens next and how she ends up on Canbrae. Read it, you too will love it.

Lily faced rejection from her boyfriend and felt like her world had imploded. But, she received an unexpected inheritance in the form of a flourishing inn, or so she thinks. This is a great story with believable characters and a couple of cute dogs. The story tells of Lily's difficult choices regarding her career, the inn and her love life. The author paints a great picture of Lily's current life and turbulent past, and has created a lovely, easy to read book. I am looking forward to more books from Katie Simpkins.

Fell in love with the island, could see myself there. Warm and welcoming fell about the place. Easy guessed the outcome but was lovely reading how it came about.

Downloaded via Voracious Readers Only. This is the story of Lily. Feeling alone in the world, she suddenly finds out she has family heritage. She returns to the isle of Cambrae to deal with her inheritance and discovers the secret to her past, the scheming of her present and the possibility of her future. A lovely story that keeps you engaged and wishing you could live in an island like that.
Definitely recommended.

Katie Simpkins writes the most delightful books! Everyone I have read I have enjoyed so much.
We meet Lily on her birthday, when everything falls apart in one very public restaurant. After she returns home, she receives a phone call telling her that her grandma Daisy has passed away and that she inherits everything. What she also discovers is that she is now the owner of the Bayside Inn. Lily is shocked as she never even knew she had grandparents! Her mum passed away the year before and never uttered a word.
She decides to go to the Isle of Cranbrae in Scotland. Her intentions are to do some digging to try to find out about her mum and grandparents. She has no intention of staying, and the Inn will be sold. But life is about to throw her another curveball!
It's easy to read with a lovely plot. Katie Simpkins put me right there, with Lily and Sophie the dog. I needed something lighter when I started this book, and it was delivered first class!
All the characters were well created and unique. The romance was sweet and surprising, to say the least. The community on the island made me feel I wanted to be there.
A rom-com with everything you need. Live, laughter, misunderstandings, and even maybe twists. I hope to see another Katie Simpkins out in the world at some point.

This was a lovely story that I read in a day. The different characters all causing different problems and Lily finding out about her past.

lilly inherits her grandmothers inn called the bayside view inn on the isle of canbrae and after being dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday she heads over to inspect it and probably sell it but when she arrives there and starts to sort out the inn she starts to realise that maybe she could run it from the mainland with the help from the carpenter callam who owns the caravan park can they get it in shape or will they fail and it and a company who wants to tear the inn down and make an exclusive resort which means the island will suffer also is there love in the air and secrets to find.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Romance is not usually one of my go to genres, but I really enjoyed this booked and couldn’t put it down. I loved the chemist between the main characters.

This isn't my typical genre, but I enjoyed the plot and the chemistry between the main protagonists.
